Details about the event
  • There will be pre-registration/packet pickup available the day before the event on October 3rd from 6-7:30 pm at SES. This will save time waiting in line on the day of the event.
  • Event day of packet pickup/registration will begin at 3:00pm on October 4th.
  • The race will take place rain or shine.
  • During packet pickup you will receive at least one color packet per runner; do not open these until the DJ instructs you that it's time for the BIG COLOR BLAST right before race start.
  • Race starts promptly at 4:30pm.
  • There will be food to purchase during the event.
  • Parking will be available in the main lot until it is full. Then parking will move to the street.
Safety
  • The running course does not leave school grounds or enter the main parking lot. This will ensure that no one will be in jeopardy of moving vehicle encounters. Fire Police will be on site for traffic safety as well.
  • For safety and enjoyment, we will release the runners in 3 waves. We ask that participants wanting to run fast join the 1st corral, joggers move to the 2nd corral, and walkers join the 3rd corral. Don't worry, there will be plenty of color dust and the corrals will depart only 1 minute apart. The corrals will be marked and a volunteer will be there to assist.

Color Blasting

  • The Color Dust is non-toxic, 100% safe and is biodegradable. It is NOT meant for consumption. As with any substance, you will want to keep our color dust out of your eyes and lungs. We will try to avoid launching the color dust in your face. However, we suggest wearing sunglasses or goggles during the run to help keep it out of your face.
  • There will be blowers to help with clean-up but that will not remove all of the color. We suggest bringing a change of clothes or baby wipes for clean-up as well. Towels for sitting in the car might also be advisable.
  • The color mostly washes out of clothing after the event. Wearing your white Color Run t-shirt is not only fun but it keeps you from ruining “good” clothes. Wear shoes that they won’t mind getting dirty. Wash all clothes in a separate load on cold wash and rinse.
  • Color Dust is...well, dust, and can be very evasive. If you plan on using electronics, wrap them in plastic and tape securely. We suggest using cameras before and after the race. If you want to use your camera any time in between, be sure to wrap it securely in plastic. Smart watches are not a good idea.
